butta.fly wears

finished

…now there’s a button on it.

i finished the clutch and made another bag last night. both bags will be in the shop by week’s end.

three days in and i got off track of my little project. it’s cool though. here’s something new i’m working on.

using what’s in my stash, i made a clutch. it’s not completely finished because it needs some kind of closure. i think this would be the perfect item to learn how to put a zipper into. it’s been suggested that i just do some sort of button closure on it. after taking this photo, i did make a little button closure flap. will take pictures of that once i re-center it (that’s what i get for sewing in the dark!). i like how it turned out.

more to come! peace.

a project a day

greetings folks,

i am committing myself to one project a day for 30 days.  i’m hoping to stretch my creative self in ways i never have before.  i figure some pieces may take longer than a day, but the point of this is to get me working at a steady pace (some pieces will go in the shop too!). so far i’ve got two things finished:

this is a sleeve for my laptop.  not too long after purchasing it, i found a bunch of scratches on it.  i couldn’t find a sleeve online i liked, so decided to make my own.

after finishing this, my daughter discovered that the sleeve also made a great sleeping bag for her teddy bear.

this is a turban cover for a friend of mine.  since this came out better than expected, i plan on making more with this shape.  i really love this shape, but most of all i love this color combination.  you may see this color combo in more b.flywears pieces.

i’m having a lot of fun with this so far. stay tuned!

happy customer

greetings,

i just wanted to share a couple of flicks with you.  this is christina.  she recently purchased the technicolor dream cycles crown in green and the multicolored bag.  i ran across her pictures on flickr and they totally made my day.

she’s workin’ it!

thanks again christina!  i’m very glad you are pleased with your purchase.
